On Monday, 10 February 2020, the Budget Session will be convened. This short session has the primary purpose to establish state funding for the FY21-FY22 Biennium. Bills of any other purpose must be approved for introduction by a 2/3 vote. There are currently 185 sponsored bills (not counting the Budget bills) with the deadline for submission by individual legislators and committees by noon Wednesday, 12 February. Expect a flurry those last few days if previous years are anything to go by.
